Royal Never Give Up recently bolstered their coaching staff with the addition of GreenTea, but today they added a legend. 2014 World Champion jungler DanDy will join RNG as their newest head coach. DanDy has played professional League of Legends since 2012 with MVP Ozone, but has never coached. It was previously rumored that DanDy would coach the revamped Suning Gaming lineup.
We are glad to announce that Dandy (In-Kyu Choi) will join RNG as primary strategy coach for the upcoming season.

After winning the world championship in 2014, DanDy left LoL Champions Korea and has struggled to find success. DanDy was unsuccessful in numerous stints with the LoL Pro League’s Vici Gaming, even role-swapping to top lane at one point. After constantly finishing near the bottom in China, DanDy once again moved overseas to the North American Challenger Series with Team EUnited.
DanDy looked reinvigorated on Team EUnited, but his team would never promote into the LoL Championship Series due to the franchise initiative in 2018. He spent most of 2018 under the radar, making this his first significant move since leaving EUnited in 2017. This also marks his first return to the LPL since he left Vici Gaming in 2016.
It is well-publicized that RNG’s coach Kezman is dealing with health issues and will be stepping back at the start of 2019. RNG already hired MAD Team coach GreenTea to handle strategy and pick/ban so it seems DanDy will delegate strategy to GreenTea and the whole team. As a member of Samsung White, DanDy is the only player to never earn a title in the LPL. With Royal Never Give Up, he finally has his chance to get that done.
