Today, 2018 LoL Pro League Spring and Summer champions, Royal Never Give Up, announced that head coach Son “Kezman” Dae-young is currently experiencing health issues and undergoing treatment. In his absence, MAD Team coach, Tsai “GreenTea” Shang-ching, will serve as the team’s strategic coach and join the team on stage during the draft phase. GreenTea’s first appearance with RNG will be at Demacia Cup later this week on December 18th.
RNG-Kezman will continue to serve as the head coach. However he is currently under treatment for health reasons. We look forward to his recovery and return to the team.
Greentea (Formerly MAD) has joined as Strategic Coach, filling in draft role in Kezman’s absence.

Kezman has been a primary part of RNG’s success the last year, joining the team in early 2018, and will remain as the team’s head coach. His stage replacement, GreenTea, has coached with ahq e-Sports Club and MAD Team since 2015, when he first retired as a player. He is credited in elevating MAD Team — a team that qualified for the LoL Masters Series this year — to a playoff caliber, and eventually Worlds qualifying team.
GreenTea has yet to coach MAD Team to an international win, amounting to 0-9 at Rift Rivals and Worlds, but his drafts and recognition of team identity have been strong regardless. GreenTea’s trial with RNG is yet another instance of LMS talent moving abroad, as Flash Wolves coaches Chou “Steak” Lu-hsi and Chen “Warhorse” Ju-chih have both made the jump to LPL in the last year, to Rogue Warriors and FunPlusX respectively.
