Jacob Wolf of ESPN reports that following Riot Games’ League European Championship announcement, Misfits will sign Paul “sOAZ” Boyer. In addition to that, Misfits are also pursuing Clutch Gaming’s mid laner, Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten. According to Wolf, Misfits are currently in negotiation over a buyout with Worlds finalist, Fnatic.

sOAZ is a player with a wealth of experience and talent, but is currently stuck behind Gabriel “Bwipo” Rau at Fnatic. Moving to Misfits provides him the best opportunity, while Misfits acquire a flexible new top laner to replace Darwin “Alphari” Barney. Febiven has struggled in the North American LCS, but a return back home and change of scenery might just be what he needs in 2019.

Update: Clutch Gaming has confirmed Febiven’s transfer to Misfits. Febiven is now the first player to join the newly franchised Misfits, ahead of a long offseason for the European team.
