It took Invictus Gaming only 16 minutes and 1 second to wipe the floor with SK Telecom T1. The reigning world champions set a new record for faster international game, as they waltzed through what was expected to be the closest game of the day.
SKT showed they were ready to fight from minute one and the teams traded one kill each, but brawling is iG territory and SKT had definitely come to the wrong neighborhood. The Koreans’ Sona/Taric bot lane was beaten bloody and oppressed to such an extent, that by minute 5, they had a combined total of 17 cs. Gao “Ning” Zhen-Ning and Song “Rookie” Eui-jin shut down Lee “Faker” Sang-heyon into irrelevancy and Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo had a field day down bot on Draven.
Off of constant pressure, iG took down SKT’s inhibitor at minute 13 and finished the game three minutes later, shocking everyone watching the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational. The LPL champions now enter day 3 undefeated and it’s hard to imagine who can stand up to them in their current form.
