Jungler Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan has officially left Royal Never Give Up. The player now enters free agency, but so far there have been no reports where the jungler will head next.
Karsa joined RNG in the 2017 off-season and helped the team to one MSI and two domestic titles the very next year. Coming into Worlds 2018, RNG were hailed as the biggest favorites to hoist the trophy, but were stopped in the quarterfinals by G2 Esports.
2019 was much more rough for RNG. With no domestic titles and group stage elimination at Worlds, it was obvious the team needed change.
Karsa is the first starter to depart RNG, leaving the team without a jungler after the retirement of veteran Liu “Mlxg” Shi-Yu in July. The contracts of Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao, Shi “Ming” Sen-Ming, and especially Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao, are all due as well, which could make this a very difficult off-season for RNG. Multiple reports are saying former Flash Wolves bot laner Lu “Betty” Yu-Hung will switch roles to become RNG’s new jungler, but so far, these are unconfirmed.
