Today, J Team announced the acquisition of former G-Rex support Lin “Koala” Chih-Chiang. In addition, J Team have promoted Chen “REFRA1N” Kuan-Ting to head coach following Huang “FireFox” Ting-Tsiang’s departure. Koala has played at the professional level for two years, debuting with Raise Gaming in 2017 and playing with G-Rex in 2018.

After Hu “SwordArT” Shuo-Chieh, Koala was generally regarded as the second best support player in the LoL Masters Series, even being voted to the 1st All-Pro Team in 2018 Summer. With Raise Gaming in 2017, Koala was one match short of the World Championship, but made it the following year with G-Rex in 2018. G-Rex smashed the Play-In Stage, only losing a single game en route to Group Stage qualification. However, they failed to win a single game in a group with Fnatic, Invictus Gaming, and 100 Thieves.
Now that SwordArT has left to the LoL Pro League, Koala has a chance to solidify himself as the best support with J Team. As Koala is the only recorded roster change, he joins a team with plentiful synergy from the 2018 season. He will lane with phenom AD carry Chen “LilV” Chin-Han, as he did in 2017 with Raise Gaming.
J Team’s roster is currently as follows:
Top laner, Hsu “Rest” Shi-Chieh
Jungler, Shi “Breaker” Yueh-Ting
Jungler, Chen “Hana” Chih-Hao
Mid laner, Chu “FoFo” Chun-Lan
AD carry, LilV
Support, Koala
Support, Wang “Ysera” Tsung-Chih
