China’s big shuffle is ending today with a massive roster shake in the PSG.LGD quarters. The new line-up announcement made on the organization’s official Weibo page reveals a full new roster, but with a few names making a return.

Besides Xu “fy” Linsen and Lu “Somnus/Maybe” Ya, departed from the team at the beginning of September, PSG.LGD have also lost Ren “old eLeVeN” Yangwei, who has returned to Vici Gaming yesterday, while both Yang “Chalice“‘ Shenyi and Jian Wei “xNova” Yap have been transferred to EHOME.

With all the players gone, PSG.LGD were forced for the first time in the organization’s history to build a new team from scratch.  However, the task got a lot easier once one of the greatest former captains of LGD Gaming was co-opted.

Zhang “xiao8” Ning is returning to PSG.LGD after four years and he is not coming empty handed, but rather with almost the entire EHOME line-up that he’s been coaching for the past year.

According to the official announcement made by PSG.LGD today on their Weibo page, Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida, Zhang “y`” Yiping joined the team as free agents, while Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang and Zhao “XinQ” Zixing are coming on loan terms from EHOME.

Another returning player to the PSG.LGD colors is the TI8 and TI9 carry, Wang “Ame” Zhunyu, who is now transferred back from CDEC Gaming.

PSG.LGD new roster from position 1 to 5:

  • Wang “Ame” Zhunyu
  • Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang
  • Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida
  • Zhao “XinQ” Zixing
  • Zhang “y`” Yiping
  • Coach: Zhang “xiao8” Ning
PSG.LGD roster 2020

This will mark Xiao8’s first time under the PSG.LGD banner in coach capacity. He’s been the backbone of the 2011-2014 LGD roster before moving to Newbee in 2014 and winning The International with them that year. He returned to LGD in 2015 and placed third at TI5. After a less successful run at TI6, xiao8 was transferred to LGD.Forever Young, where he played for just a couple of months before making the transition from active play to coaching and settling down at EHOME.

Upon his arrival at PSG.LGD along with his former players from EHOME, PSG LGD had the following to say:

“Both the club and the players hope to build a more competitive roster to fully exploit the advantages of each other and to improve the overall competitiveness. With such an aim, we joined hands in strength. Thank you Chalice, xNova and old eLeVeN for your wonderful performance and outstanding contributions in your term. Hope you achieve new breakthroughs in the new season with a new environment.”
