The Dota 2 community’s voice has been heard loud and clear as Midas Mode 2.0 is back on track again! Yesterday, Valve announced the dates for the first DPC qualifiers for the 2019-2020 season, and the first set of qualfiers clashed bang on with a project that a big chunk of the Dota 2 community has been looking forward to – Midas Mode 2.0. When people realized this, there was an uproar on Reddit and Twitter to change the dates of the qualifiers and Valve has actually gone and done it.

The Dota 2 Twitter account also mentioned the cancellation of a LAN tournament in the second week of October. With the qualifier dates changing, Valve will be rescheduling the Minor and Major accordingly to make sure teams get a decent number of days between online and LAN events. Midas Mode 2.0 is scheduled from the 24th of September to the 2nd of October. To make sure the event doesn’t clash with the DPC qualfiers, the new set of qualfiers will be held from the 5th of October to the 10th of October.

Now that the event is back on track, the question that everyone is asking is who will be participating in Midas Mode 2.0? The last Midas Mode saw big names like Na’Vi, Team Liquid and OG participate. This year’s teams are still are bit of a mystery.

Considering the fact that a lot of the top teams are skipping the first set of Minor and Major, they will probably deviate towards Midas Mode 2.0. Irrespective of who plays though, looking at the uniqueness of the event and the fact that Moonduck TV and SirActionSlacks are pouring their heart and soul into it, it is bound to be a memorable one.
