The Bucharest Minor Qualifiers continued today with the European region battling it out to find their 2 champions for the second minor of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit Season. The region would be hotly contested, considering the current champions of The International, OG, were included in the running – alongside the likes of Ninjas in Pyjamas and four other teams too.
After OG were knocked out of the running for the Major just a few days ago, they would want to make up for lost ground and maybe get into the Major via taking the top spot at the Minor – especially after skipping the first 2 events in the DPC season. Since they lost Anathan ‘ana’ Pham in the follow-up to TI, they had replaced him with Per Anders ‘Pajkatt’ Olsson Lille but due to illness, he was replaced by Igor ‘iLTW’ Filatov for the Minor Qualifier. Even with this stand-in, they seemed unstoppable and were able to easily take down all their opposition as they marched into the Major.

NiP dropped to the lower bracket with another chance to get into the Minor as they would face up against Vege Squadron. It was basically a walk-in-the-park for NiP, taking the first game with a 33-5 scoreline. The next game was almost available for Vega to take but some amazing plays from Marcus ‘Ace’ Hoelgaard on the Anti-Mage would be their downfall as NiP closed out a 2-0 victory and booked their place at the Minor.
2 regions were now completely decided for the Bucharest Minor, leaving 4; North America, South America, CIS and China – which would all be decided in little over 24 hours.
