COVID-19 has created quite a bit of havoc for the Dota 2 scene – and many other esports too, but WePlay came to save the day when they announced the WeSave! Charity Play tournament, which kicks off tomorrow.

In the six regions of the Dota 2 world; Southeast Asia, CIS, China, Europe South and North America, teams are preparing to have some fun and raise some money to aid in the combat of the currently ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With 24 of the biggest and best teams from around the globe participating – all playing online to avoid contact and spread of the virus too, WePlay! have managed to create an amazing event. With the event beginning tomorrow for some, the schedule has been confirmed and we are set for some rather massive series across the regions.

Below you can find the very strange schedule of the event with the date of the games next to each series in the region – however, both CIS and SEA still have one team that has yet to be confirmed.

Europe

  • Team Liquid versus OG (March 21st, 2020)
  • Team Secret versus Team Nigma (March 23rd, 2020)

North America

  • Cloud9 versus CR4ZY (March 20th, 2020)
  • Evil Geniuses versus business associates (March 22nd, 2020)

South America

  • FURIA Esports versus NoPing e-ports (March 21st, 2020)
  • beastcoast versus Thunder Predator (March 23rd, 2020)

China

  • PSG.LGD versus Invictus Gaming (March 21st, 2020)
  • EHOME versus Vici Gaming (March 23rd, 2020)

Southeast Asia

  • Geek Fam versus BOOM Esports (March 20th, 2020)
  • TNC Predator versus TBD (March 22nd, 2020)

CIS

  • TBD versus Natus Vincere (March 20th, 2020)
  • Virtus.pro versus Hellraisers (March 22nd, 2020)

As can be seen with the dates above, the regions are not all completed on the same day and as the WeSave! Charity Play tournament is an event focused on aiding the COVID-19 efforts globally, it will be played in a very choppy manner. The first series which will kick off the event seems to be Geek Fam and BOOM Esports before we head to the CIS region for Na’Vi to take on a currently unknown challenger.

All-in-all, the next six days are set to be an absolute blast as the WeSave! Charity Play event carries us through some lockdowns and isolation and gives us some fantastic and fun Dota 2 action presented by a massive array of famous casters.
