In the light of recent development of the coronavirus WePlay! Esports acted quickly and gathered some of the best teams to compete online in a charity tournament set to “combat the spread of COVID-19, the esports way.”

Each of the six major regions, Europe, CIS, North and South America, Southeast Asia and China will have four teams playing for a 20,000 prize pool which raises the tournament prize pool to a total of $120,000. However, all donations coming from stream viewers or sponsors will be used to fight the Coronavirus.

WeSave! Charity Play has so far confirmed 14 out of the 24 participating teams. The event is set to begin this coming Friday, March 20 running until March 26th.

In their official announcement WePlay! Esports is encouraging and welcoming teams from all around the world to participate in the one-week charity marathon and “show the strength and unity of the Dota 2 community.”

With games in all six regions, WePlay! made sure to have more than a handful of commentators to cover all games in English, Russian and Ukrainian languages.
