With the news of Pavel ‘9pasha’ Khvastunov departing from Virtus.pro, the CIS squad would also be hit with another departure as Arsenly ‘ArsZeeqq’ Usov has also left.
In an announcement made by Virtus.pro today, the organisation confirmed that both 9pasha and ArsZeeqq have departed from the team. While it was also confirmed that Pasha would be joining Natus Vincere, nothing has been said of ArsZeeqq’s future. Joining VP as coach late in 2018, ArsZeeqq helped the squad secure victory at The Kuala Lumpur Major and two second place finishes; The Chongqing Major and DreamLeague Season 11 – along with many other podium finishes through the season. While not having a successful career prior to joining VP, ArsZeeqq definitely was seen as highly beneficial to the team but unfortunately a poof performance at The International 2019 would weigh on the squad.
Virtus.pro General Manager, Roman Dvoryankin, had the following statement regarding the two departures from the squad;
Pasha is a true veteran and one of the most respected players of CIS Dota. I can hardly imagine VP without him, but sooner or later everything comes to an end. We are endlessly grateful for Pavel’s contribution to our success and wish him the best of luck in Na’Vi. Special thanks to our coach – even as ArsZeeqq faced constant pressure from the community, his positivity and dedication never faded. His Chongqing performance against PSG.LGD will remain in our hearts forever.”source
There are still many unconfirmed rumours flying around about the future of the remaining four VP team members but at this time, they only lack an offlane player and could be searching for a new player. We will keep you up to date on any and all information that becomes available as the post TI9 roster shuffle continues to shock and surprise us.
