We have already seen a great number of players leaving their teams or organization’s releasing their teams in the post TI9 shuffle, and now there’s another extremely surprising one as Carlo ‘Kuku’ Palad has left TNC Predator.
TNC Predator went to The International 2019 as a solid Southeast Asian squad, looking to cause multiple upsets and reach the upper echelons of the event. While they had a great run through group stages, even being the first team to take a game of the mighty Team Secret, they quickly fell into the lower bracket after a monumental battle with Vici Gaming – before Team Liquid snuffed out their flame. While it was clear that the team were extremely strong, they could not beat either the crowd or their opponents when it came time to fight and sadly, they exited TI9 in an extremely respectable 9th-12th place. We all expected the full might of the squad to come back even stronger in the new season, but that does not seem to be the case.
On his Twitter account just a short time ago, Kuku posted that he was looking for a team. While Liquipedia has him confirmed as departing from TNC at this moment in time, no official word has been given from the organization as yet. We are also unsure of what the reasoning behind his departure might be and we await any confirmation from the team of this.
With Kuku off the squad, the TNC lineup is currently void of an offlane player but we are still awaiting any other roster changes becoming apparent in the coming weeks. As soon as any information becomes available from the TNC camp, we’ll be sure to bring it to you right away.
