The 2018-2019 DPC season is nearly done and dusted, with just one more Major left to go. Once the Epicenter Major ends on the 30th of June, the hustle for the TI9 qualifiers will begin for the teams who could not get a direct invite. Well, the dates for the TI9 open qualifiers and regional qualifiers have been released.
The open qualifiers for TI9 start just four days after the last Major ends. For the teams that will have a direct invite to the regional qualifiers (a few of them will be from the Epicenter Major), there is a good nine days after the end of the DPC season to get ready for the start of the battle that will take one team from each of the six regions to Shanghai.
Considering the fact that there isn’t too much of a space between events, the next Dota 2 patch won’t be released until the regional qualifiers are done. Once all 18 teams travelling to Shanghai are finalized, we will most probably be introduced to the patch on which The International 2019 will be played.
