A lot has happened in the last few days – The 2018-2019 DPC season has ended, the Weekend Bundle was released and the prize pool for TI9 exceeded that of TI8 in half the number of days! The only question that remains now is when the next Immortal Treasure and the special event, ‘Wrath of the Mo’rokai’ will be released. Well, Valve has answered our questions in a tweet, revealing the release date of Immortal Treasure II and Mo’rokai as Friday the 5th of July. Along with the two, the 10 Battle Pass levels for surpassing last years prize pool will be added to the mix as well.
Nothing has been released about how Mo’rokai will look like, but the Battle Pass does drop a few hints about it. From the looks of it, it seems like Mo’rokai will have two teams competing against each other for a common prize (sounds a lot like a popular game we know?!).
The release date for this year’s special event and Immortal Treasure II are quite delayed as compared to previous years. Knowing this, Valve has put out a statement to extend the duration of the Battle Pass by two weeks.
When The International 2019 ends, the Battle Pass will still be here with us to ease the sorrow of the end of another season. Feels good right? The TI9 festivities are just beginning. Gear up as we head into the open qualifiers for TI9 on the 3rd of July followed by the regional qualifiers; in the midst of which there will be the added pleasures of ‘Wrath of the Mo’rokai’, Immortal Treasure II, Immortal Treasure III, the Invoker persona and the Tiny prestige item! Good days lie ahead…
