The Chongqing Major was an intriguing tournament where we got to see some unusual strats like mid Tidehunter, mid Slark, safelane Doom and position 4 Luna to name a few! The same three teams made the top three as the Kuala Lumpur Major, with a difference that this time around, Team Secret was able to defeat Virtus Pro in the grand finals. This is Team Secrets first Major win after the DreamLeague Season 8 win, which was in November 2017! Both, Virtus Pro and Team Secret have mathematically qualified for The International 2019 and ideally, can put up their legs and rest till August! This was the last tournament on the 7.20 patch and it did not fail to deliver. The new patch, 7.21 is supposed to be out in the next few days and it should change things up a bit. Last season, it was an alternating patches with gameplay changes and hero changes. However, with the time between new patches increased, we can fully expect to see both kinds of changes with the new patch. The teams will be gearing up for the qualifiers of the DreamLeague Season 11 Major and that’s where we will get to see the new patch in action!
