Retirement never seems to last very long in the Dota 2 world as players are often still filled with a passion for the game. One such player is Avery ‘SVG’ Silverman.
SVG was a very well-known name in Dota 2, having coached Evil Geniuses on two separate short occasions. He played at Team NP with the likes of Kurtis ‘Aui_2000’ Ling and Theban ‘1437’ Silva and more recently with VGJ.Storm – before leaving and joining Forward Gaming with the squad. However, without any success in the first three Majors of the 2018/2019 Dota 2 Pro Circuit season, SVG would announce his retirement from professional play back in March of this year.
But as we know, retirement never lasts too long for Dota 2 players and it seems that SVG has returned, reviving an old team name with some of the ex-Forward Gaming roster. Quincy Crew was the name used by the team in the interim between VGJ.Storm and Forward Gaming and now they return with at least two players from that line-up. Registered just this morning on the Minor and Major registration page were three players who would be playing under the Quincy Crew banner.
- Arif ‘MSS’ Anwar
- Quinn ‘CCnC/Quinn’ Callahan
- Avery ‘SVG’ Silverman
There is currently no other information available about which other two players will be joining this team but with the registration deadline only a couple of days away, it should surely be announced soon. It will be interesting to see if Quincy Crew can find the right players to play as well as the likes of VGJ.Storm but we will continue to watch the registrations and bring you any new information that comes up.
