Team Secret brushed aside Alliance 2-0 to step into the upper bracket final of the DreamLeague Season 13 Leipzig Major and secured a top 3 finish by doing so.

Usually, an upper bracket semi-final of a DPC Major is something that is expected to bring tough games and possibly a series that goes the distance. But Alliance just didn’t turn up today. Secret gained an early net worth lead in game 1 and even though they were in control of the game, there were signs of life from Alliance. They had a decently farmed Morphling that kept the game going till the 45 minute mark. The same thing happened in game 2, but this time, none of the Alliance heroes were farmed and the Secret secured the victory in just 26 minutes. After the game, when Secret’s Lasse ‘Matumbaman’ Urpalainen was asked about the series, he said that it felt a lot easier than expected and that something felt off about Alliance. But every team has one of those days, don’t they? Alliance drop to the lower bracket where they will await the winner of TNC Predator and Team Liquid. They have a day off to figure our what went wrong against Team Secret and come back stronger.

Team Secret will now face Vici Gaming, who dispatched Evil Geniuses to the lower bracket earlier in the day with a 2-0 win. Secret and Vici are definitely the two best teams in the tournament right now and the Puppey/Heen vs rOtK drafting mind games will be something to watch out for.

We are now in the final three days of the Leipzig Major. Tomorrow’s games will feature three lower bracket series, which means Team Secret and Vici Gaming get to rest for a day. Eight teams have been eliminated till now in DreamLeague Season 13 and by the end of tomorrow, we will be saying goodbye to another three.
