After joining late last year, EricRyoya ‘Ryoya/747’ Dong has parted ways with VGJ.Storm.
Eric ‘Ryoya/747’ Dong joined the North American VGJ.Storm in September of last year, taking on the mid role which he is so well known for. In his time with the NA squad, Ryoya helped them to victories over both Digital Chaos and compLexity Gaming in the MDL Macau NA qualifiers and World Cyber Arena qualifiers respectively. However, with a last place finish at MDL Macau and no qualifications for the Dota 2 pro-circuits minors and majors since then, VGJ.Storm were not looking too great. After the departure of Jingjun ‘Sneyking’ Wu earlier this year, Ryoya followed suit, taking his leave from the NA squad a few days ago.
Thanks to @Team_VGJ for everything. It was honestly one of the best experiences i could have ever had. Filled with awesome people and i made many great relationships during my time there. But it's time for something new!

Posting on his Twitter, Ryoya thanked the team and went on to state that it was time for “something new!” While Jaron ‘monkeys-forever’ Clinton and Brian ‘BananaSlamJamma’ Canavan joined the team in early January, the team are currently in search of a replacement for Ryoya.
“Ryoya is a promising player who brought lots of knowledge, experience, and jokes to the team atmosphere. We wish him the best going forward”, said Jack “KBBQ” Chen, VGJ.Storm Manager, to VPEsports.
VGJ.Storm’s current line-up is:
Brian ‘BananaSlamJamma’ Canavan
Jaron ‘monkeys-forever’ Clinton
