Tomorrow we will see the DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas event kick off, as 10 teams from the North and Southern regions of America fight for their share of a $100,000 prize pool.
DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas starts tomorrow, with eight directly invited teams and two open qualifier squads all beginning a round-robin group stage as they look to claim their title at the top of the region. While Evil Geniuses have often been the team to claim control over the NA region for some time, this year has seen the once great organisation choose not to participate in many tournaments. Those that they have taken part in have been met with the usual third place – leaving a new powerhouse to rise in the region, Quincy Crew.
- 4 Zoomers
- Quincy Crew
- Spirits Esports
- Team Brasil
- Team Zero
- Thunder Predator
- Plasma1337x VitaPLUR gum
Without EG on the radar for the event, QC could possibly snatch what would be their eighth tournament title in a row – should they manage to beat out the fierce competition. However, considering the likes of beastcoast, catJAMMERS and 4 Zoomer and many others, they will definitely have their work cut out – although their first series of the group stages is only set to take place on Friday, October 23rd, 2020 when they go against Plasma1337.
With the lack of NA and SA Dota 2 action in the recent month, ever since the BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas came to an end, it will be great to see some of the teams back in action and competing for a decent prize pool too. Now all that remains is to sit back and relax and wait to see if QC will claim an eighth event title in a row.
