Beyond Epic: Europe & CIS has just seen its penultimate day of Dota 2 action come to an end with a string of 2-0 series as three teams saw their tournament lives come to an end.

Team Secret and Vikin.gg were the first two teams to go head-to-head and having already been beaten by Secret in the group stage, Vikin.gg would be hoping for some revenge. But, as we know from their current record, Secret are almost entirely unstoppable, and they showed that rather quickly again today. Although having a closer game one, Vikin.gg were unable to really find their footing and quickly slipped to a defeat, with the next game being all Secret at all times. With that, Vikin.gg were eliminated from Beyond Epic: EU & CIS, while Secret moved forward to play the winner of the next series.

FlyToMoon and Virtus.pro were the next series to be played, in another replay of the group stages matchup. What was only the second series at the event for VP during the group stages ended with FTM stomping their opponents and leaving them desperate for some wins. Making it into the playoff stage was tough for VP and even though they had done so, they now faced a huge challenge. Unfortunately for VP, they were not up to this challenge, even after knocking out OG a few days ago. FTM were able to, once again, roll over the VP squad, claiming a 2-0 victory in a little over one hour on the battlefield.

After having to play Team Nigma in the upper bracket, followed by a rematch against VP was tough enough, but now FTM were to face Secret for a spot in the lower bracket finals and to hopefully keep their spot in the tournament too. However, expectedly, Secret were far too strong for them – never allowing FTM more than a few brief moments of being ahead in the two-game victory. For FTM, their Beyond Epic experience ends here with an admirable fourth place finish.

Tomorrow Beyond Epic: EU & CIS will see its final day of Dota 2 action with the lower bracket final between Team Liquid and Team Secret, followed by the Grand Finals, where Nigma await their opponent.
