ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online is less than a week away and for the European and CIS bracket, the final team to join in has been confirmed as Nigma will be part of the action.

Although Nigma have seemed extremely shaky ever since they won the WeSave! Charity Play in March, the team are still considered one of the best in the world. With Kuro ‘KuroKy’ Salehi Takhasomi at the captain’s helm and the likes of Amer ‘Miracle’ Al-Barkawi and Maroun ‘GH’ Merhej also on the squad, the team are extremely strong on paper. However, lately it seems as though they have not been able to find their footing in the constant online events – but this has not stopped them from joining in at another upcoming tournament.

From May 24th to June 7th, 2020, Nigma as well as 15 other teams will be involved in the European and CIS bracket of ESL One Birmingham. The teams will be split into two groups of eight teams and fight to avoid early elimination – with a prize pool of $200,000 on the line too. The 16 teams which will be participating at the event are as follows:

  • Nigma
  • Team Secret
  • OG
  • Team Liquid
  • Alliance
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • Natus Vincere
  • Prodigy
  • Cyber Legacy
  • HellRaisers
  • FlyToMoon
  • Team Spirit
  • Gambit Esports
  • Aggressive Mode
  • Team Unique

While the schedule for ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online has not yet been released, it will be really interesting to see which team can come out on top – or, really speaking, if anyone can actually beat Team Secret in their current form.
