WePlay! Esports announce a slight change in the team line-up for their first non Dota Pro Circuit LAN event of the year. Aggressive Mode will replace Natus Vincere at WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon.
The $3000,000 tournament is set to take place next week, February 19-23 in Kiev, and although it is basically located in the Na’Vi home town, it might interfere with the team’s plans for pre-Major bootcamp. Na’Vi were one of the four teams that earned their spot at the final part of the WePlay! Tug of War series by taking the Reshuffle Madness title back in September 2019.
With them forfeiting their spot, WePlay! will bring to the venue the newly formed stack Aggressive Mode that delivered a nice surprise in the European qualifiers for the third round of Major and Minor tournaments.
Although they didn’t qualify for any of the tourneys, AM managed to take down 2-0 Nigma and secure a second spot finish in their group right behind Team Secret. Despite their good start in the good stage, Aggressive Mode went on a 0-8 losing streak through the qualifiers playoffs and will have to watch the Minor and the Major from home.
Regardless, by going to WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon, Aggressive Mode will have the chance for a rematch with Team Secret and Nigma and to test themselves against Ninjas in Pyjamas, Gambit Esports, Royal Never Give Up and Infamous. Although the event is less than a week away, the organizers are yet to announce the eighth and final team, so stay tuned!
