After Valve announced that they would be altering the dates of the first Dota 2 Pro Circuit qualifier, allowing Midas Mode 2.0 to continue, the talent for the event is now confirmed.
On Wednesday it seemed as though Midas Mode 2.0 would be an unlikely dream as the organizers. That was until this morning, when they announced that they had changed the dates to accommodate Jake ‘SirActionSlacks’ Kanner’s weirdly wonderful event.
A very short time after this the talent for the event was announced and it features some very well-known and beloved faces from the Dota 2 community:
- Jorien ‘Sheever’ van der Heijden
- Owen ‘ODPixel’ Davies
- Kyle ‘Kyle’ Freedman
- Michelle ‘Moxxi’ Song
- Kevin ‘Purge’ Godec
- Trent ‘TrentPax’ MacKenzie
- Grant ‘GrandGrant’ Harris
- Ben ‘Noxville’ Steenhuisen
- Jonathan ‘PimpmuckL’ Liebig
This is just a partial look at the talent that will be on display at the Localhost Arena in Denver, Colorado later this month. Of course, SirActionSlacks himself will be there, running the show as well as the well-known Shannon ‘Sunsfan’ Scotten and Andrew ‘Zyori’ Campbell too. You can find the full list of the talent as well as the behind the scenes personal here.
While Midas Mode 2.0 is a purely fun event, with barely anything serious going on through its entirety, it was clear that the community would not stand for it being cancelled as they rallied behind the event as soon as the DPC dates were announced. From September 24th 2019, we will be able to catch all the MM action – and maybe shortly before that we would even get some team confirmations.
