After just releasing Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier and Yixuan “Xuan” Guo from their roster three days ago, T1 is resuming the competitive play with two new Singaporean recruits.
T1 is currently playing in Thailand Celestial Cup Season 2, an online tournament with a ~$14,000 prize pool on the line and 12 teams competing for a share of it. Replacing Black^ is the Singaporean prodigy Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen, while in the support five position T1 have Wilson “Poloson” Koh Chin Wei. Both players are currently stand-ins for T1 and both have a shared competitive history together, most recently playing for Alpha x Hashtag. With their arrival at T1, the team has now for the first time a full Southeast Asian line-up, with two Singaporean and two Indonesian players joining captain Lee “Forev” Sang-don.
Known for their incredible dominance in the League of Legends scene, T1 announced their venture into Dota 2 during The International 2019. Despite being a top organization, they struggled to find a successful formula, and over the last few months, since the new Dota Pro Circuit began, T1 ran multiple trials before they officially announced a line-up ahead of the ESL One Los Angeles Major regional qualifiers. Unfortunately for them, Black and Xuan didn’t make the difference and after the failed Major qualifier run and a top three finish last week in the Indonesia qualifiers for ONE Esports Jakarta Invitational, the two were let go.
T1 current roster:
- Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen
- Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky
- Lee “Forev” Sang-don
- Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro
- Wilson “Poloson” Koh Chin Wei
