Mason ‘Mason’ Venne has been back in the Dota 2 scene for just over a month now and he, alongside a solid stack named ‘wut the frog’ fought in the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Open Qualifiers. But, without finding any luck there, it seems that stack has ended and now he has moved onto a bigger team – Infamous Gaming.
Mason was a prolific and well-known player before the Dota 2 Pro Circuit took off, having spent time with the likes of Evil Geniuses and Digital Chaos – and playing alongside names such as Jimmy ‘DeMoN’ Ho and Ionnis ‘Fogged’ Loucas. But after his time on DC, Mason disappeared from the pro scene until just last month when he returned but with a lackluster attempt to enter the upcoming Minor.
Now Mason gets to try his hand among the South American greats, playing on one of the biggest Dota 2 teams in the region. Mason’s addition to the team as the position 1 carry sees Sebastian ‘Robo-Z’ Cerralta Velarde leave the roster as the team moves forward with the rest of their roster intact. The Infamous Gaming Roster is now:
- Mason ‘Mason’ Venne
- Enzo ‘Timado’ Gianoli
- Mariano ‘Papita’ Caneda
- Romel ‘Wu’ Quinteros
- Joel ‘MoOz’ Mori Ozambela
The first time that we will see this new Infamous squad in action will be at the upcoming DreamLeague Season 11 Major in just a few weeks and while the team will probably receive a DPC point penalty for their roster change, they will definitely be a team to watch at the upcoming event.
