With a little over a week left until the first Minor of the 2019/2020 Dota 2 Pro Circuit season gets underway, the team that will be replacing Virtus.pro at the event seems to be all-but confirmed as jfshfh178.
Two weeks ago, Virtus.pro announced that they would be withdrawing themselves from the DOTA Summit 11 Minor in Los Angeles, to give their roster more time to reach their full potential. While Beyond the Summit did confirm that they would be working with Team jfshfh178 to help them secure their Visas in time as a replacement, it seems that now the CIS squad that placed third in the qualifier are definitely heading to North America for the Minor.
The Tweet from jfshfh178 player, Danil ‘Bignum’ Shehovsov confirms that the squad, while not directly confirmed by BTS, will be taking VP’s place and competing at their first DPC event ever as a team. The full jfshfh178 roster is:
- Nikita ‘Palantimos’ Grinkevich
- Yaroslav ‘Pikachu’ Vasilenko
- Danil ‘Bignum’ Shehovsov
While very little is known of some of the players in this squad, the players have spent many years playing within the CIS region for smaller, tier 2 and 3 squads – with some having earned time on the likes of Vega Squadron and Gambit Esports. Jfshfh178’s confirmation at the DOTA Summit 11 Minor now sets up all eight teams for the event as we wind our way down to the start of the next season of DPC events.
