Twelve directly invited teams will compete next month from the 17th to the 22nd of December at the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium with a whopping $500,000 prize pool.

The event will mark the LAN debut for the recently shuffled Team Secret and for PSG.LGD who along the European juggernauts decided to skip the first Major on the Dota Pro Circuit schedule. Most of the teams attending the tournament will be heading to Singapore in December straight from the MDL Chengdu Major. This will be the case for J.Storm who closed the invite list and became the second squad from North America to join the rather stacked event.

Despite not qualifying for TI9, J.Storm didn’t change their roster too much. Their only new addition at the start of the new season is the Peruvian support player Joel Mori “MoOz” Ozambela who replaced Sivatheeban “1437” Sivanathapillai who decided to take a break from competitive play to prepare his upcoming wedding.  With 1437’s departure, the scene veteran Clinton “Fear” Loomis has switched to support five and took the captain role in order to accommodate MoOz to the team. In this formula, J.Storm managed to claim one of the three tickets to the first Major of the season, MDL Chengdu.
