With Arif ‘MSS’ Anwar leaving just a few days ago after barely 3 weeks with the team – and Kim ‘QO’ Seon-Yeob departing and taking a break from Dota 2, the Immortals roster were in dire need of some bolstering. And it was there for them in the form of Eric ‘Ryoya’ Dong and Taesung ‘Velo’ Kim who both joined the Dota 2 squad, hoping to make an impact on the Dota 2 Pro Circuit.
“Ryoya and Velo are both younger talents eager to prove themselves on a bigger stage,”
Immortals Dota 2 Team Manager – Joshua Arkin, in the official statement of the new line up.
After departing from VGJ.Storm just a few days ago, stating that he had new ventures to follow, Ryoya finds himself amongst a slew of ex-MVP greats. Velo himself was part of the MVP Organization at one point, alongside the Koreans of the current Immortals roster. The new squad brings with it new hope of a better Dota 2 season after a mediocre start to January but with regional qualifiers for the DAC 2018 Major coming up soon, they’ll be hoping to show that they are stronger.
The new line-up for the Immortals squad is:
- Pyo ‘MP’ Noa
- Eric ‘Ryoya’ Dong
- Taesung ‘Velo’ Kim
- Kim ‘Febby’ Yong-min
- Kim ‘DuBu’ Duyoung
