Three out of five Gambit Esports players are currently standing in for different teams.

Gambit Esports withdrew two weeks ago from WePlay! Puhka League citing lack of training and the impossibility of practicing in an ideal bootcamp set-up. Prior to that, Gambit placed bottom four at the ESL One Los Angeles Online tournament, a result influenced by the fact that everyone was playing from home, Gambit suggested in their withdrawal announcement made on April 21.  A couple of days later, the team captain, Artsiom “fng” Barshak, was announced to stand in for Alliance at the same WePlay! Pushka League, while Maxim “Shachlo” Abramovskikh was announced two days ago to stand in for Cyber Legacy.

With Pushka League entering the final three days of group stage matches, Team Spirit are also going to bring in a Gambit Esports player on a stand in basis citing health issues for Egor “Ergon” Kozlov. Danil “gpk” Skutin will be replacing Egor in the mid lane. The swap is meant for both WePlay! Pushka League and the CIS Epic Prime League Season 1.

Team Spirit current roster:

  • Anton “DyrachYO” Shkredov
  • Danil “gpk” Skutin (stand in)
  • Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin
  • Alexander “Immersion” Hmelevskoy
  • Mihail “Misha” Agatov

Team Spirit are currently on the sixth place in the CIS group at WePlay! and are in danger of elimination. They have just two more series to play and are in dire need of victories to make the cut into the playoffs. In the Epic Prime League, they are in fourth place in the group play and have one more week of matches ahead of the playoffs.
