The qualifiers for the OGA Dota Pit Minor have been underway for a few days now and the CIS region has its champion decided.

Gambit Esports have been pulling out some amazing results when it comes to Minor qualifiers and they’ did it again in the qualifiers for the OGA Dota Pit Minor. In a CIS region full of hopefuls, Gambit were able to beat off the competition and claim the region’s spot at the Minor. After a fantastic full three game series against Old but Gold in the regional qualifiers, Gambit were able to obtain the CIS for the Minor.

While Gambit may not be dominating force in the Majors of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit this season, they certainly have made their presence felt in Minors and other tournaments too. The unlikely CIS squad have smashed themselves into second place at two separate Minors this season as well as a second place at ESL One Katowice 2019. While a second place has not secured them an appearance at a Major, they have been a staple of competition and always have a chance at making that final spot at the Major.

While maybe not performing up to the level of the region’s best team, Virtus.pro, Gambit seem to prove over and over again that they are willing to throw everything into the game. Could this be the Minor that brings the CIS squad glory? We’ll have to wait and find out.

In the next few days each region will find its champions for the OGA Dota Pit Minor, so stay tuned for more information on the event.
