Odium was a short lived CIS squad formed by Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk in the pos-TI8 shuffle. Contrary to the common belief that Lil was the captain and the drafter for his team, we learnt later on that in fact he was in charge with the outside the game organizational duties.
Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk told cybersports.ru the other week that while Lil was trying to find sponsors so he can secure a salary for the players, he and Semion “CemaTheSlayer” Krivulya were taking the in-game command. “Lil wasn’t the captain. I was in charge of coordination, while CeMaTheSlayeR and I did the drafting,” he said in an interview he gave to the Russian outlet immediately after he left Odium.
Odium disbanded with a lot of trash talking, finger pointing and blame tossing for the general failure. While Lil talked about his teammates as being lazy, greedy and hypocrite, Ghostik said that he doesn’t think anyone cared about the results and that their mid laner, for instance, was not ready to compete on a high level. “I didn’t like playing on that team,” he concluded for cybersports.
Less than a week after he exit Lil’s Odium, Ghostik teamed up with the one he shared the captainship duties with, CeMaTheSlayeR, and formed NoPangolier, team which got invited at Maincast’s $80,000 online tournament.
NoPangolier roster from position 1 to 5:
Aybek “Naive-” Tokaev
Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk
Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov
Semion “CemaTheSlayer” Krivulya
The newly formed squad was placed in group A at Autumn Brawl, alongside Team Spirit, a CIS stack called TPB and Happy Guys, a mixed CIS – European team featuring Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev and Troels Lyngholt “syndereN” Nielsen. NoPangolier started the GSL group stage in force and took a win over Team Spirit and one over Synderen’s stack to secure a spot into the playoffs already.
NoPango smashes @Team__Spirit within only about 15 minutes and proceeds to playoffs!
