In the first elimination series of the day at The Chongqing Major we witnessed EHOME sent packing from the event, leaving the Chinese crowd with one last hope for a home team to take the title, PSG.LGD. But It would not be a walk in the park with the team standing in their way being the last Southeast Asia one remaining, Fnatic. The SEA squad were definitely looking extremely strong and after eliminating Team Liquid yesterday, they would be looking to cause more chaos.

Right of the bat in game one it seemed as though Fnatic would have absolutely no problem claiming an early lead. The team grew their advantage more and more as the game continued, finding amazing team fights to secure a great position to take the game – but the TI-runners up never gave in. By little over half an hour, PSG.LGD begun to swing the game into their favour, pushing Fnatic to their limit.
Even with an Abed ‘Abed’ Azel Yusop Outworld Devourer, Fnatic were unable to quelle the pace of their opponent and the first game went to PSG.LGD.
Facing elimination now, Fnatic were hoping to make some sort of recovery in game two – but unfortunately the early period of the game did not help. PSG.LGD took the early advantage with Wang ‘Ame’ Chunyu’s Juggernaut dominating. But a glimmer of hope appeared when the SEA squad completely wiped PSG.LGD from the map.
However, a few moments later the Chinese team ran right back at Fnatic and ripped through the team, two lanes of barracks and shut the door on their opponents once more.
It was clear from that point that there was no stopping PSG.LGD, who claimed a solid 2-0 victory to move on to face Evil Geniuses in just a short while. Unfortunately for Fnatic they would exit the Major but could hold their head’s high after dropping Team Liquid and finishing top 6 with 900 DPC points going their way.
