Dota 2 veteran Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang will be for the first time in his 15 years career playing in the North American region.
iceiceice is set to play under the Evil Geniuses brand, joining the international Dota 2 team of the organization. He will be replacing Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev in the offlane, who was benched earlier this month.
During the one year stay at Evil Geniuses, Ramzes tried to learn a new role and adapt to a new culture, while iceiceice comes to the NA powerhouse team as one of the best players in the role and as someone who shouldn’t have any major language barrier.
Across his long professional career, iceicieice bounced between Southeast Asia and China teams and always managed to impress with his unique offlane playstyle. From representing his own country with Zenith, back in the old DotA days, to placing top four at The International 2014 and 2015 on the China’s Team DK and Vici gaming rosters, iceicieice has played for some of the finest organizations in the esports field and even tried to build a team of his own when he formed Team Faceless. After The International 2018, he joined Fnatic, for which he played until September this year when at his own request his contract with the organization was not renewed In the official from September 16, Fnatic explained that iceicieice “gained an interest in playing for another region.”
Two months later, iceiceice is officially moving from Southeast Asia to North America to play for Evil Geniuses.
