It’s been a long road to get here, but we are finally down to the top three teams at the DreamLeague Season 13 Leipzig Major. Evil Geniuses defeated Alliance 2-0 in the lower bracket to eliminate them from the tournament. Alliance will have to settle for fourth place at the second DPC Major of the year.
AAAND THAT IS GONNA BE GG!!!!— DreamHack Dota (@DreamHackDota) January 25, 2020
GG to @EvilGeniuses who played a really well tournament so far and they will proceed forward in this Major!! They will be facing @VICI tomorrow!
WP to @theAllianceGG, very strong performances all around! pic.twitter.com/i0Qo5bZ5xZ
EG picked Templar Assassin in both games and in both games, Alliance didn’t really have an answer to it. The NA team was never threatened in either of the games and they ended the series in style with a wombo-combo of Chronosphere into Chain Frost and everything else they could fire in there.
Evil Geniuses now face Vici Gaming in the lower bracket finals, who
earlier today lost to Team Secret in the upper bracket finals. The winner of EG and VG will face Secret in the grand finals. EG definitely have a lot of work ahead of them if they are to overcome Vici Gaming to reach the grand finals. Vici Gaming made short work of EG in the upper bracket, dispatching them to the lower bracket with a quick 2-0 win. If EG are to overturn that, it is going to take some brilliant strategizing along with playing some of their their best Dota 2.
The DreamLeague Season 13 Leipzig Major has been an eventful one with some great games. Only the final two series are left to be played, and look at the calibre of the teams that remain in the tournament, those series are bound to bring us some top notch Dota 2 action.
