A new tournament for China region is on the horizon and this one will feature the much anticipated Elephant.4AM debut.

CDA-FDC Professional Championship will unfold October 22 – November 1 with eight of the best teams in the Chinese region fighting for a share of the  ¥600,000  (≃ $90,000) prize pool, however, Vici Gaming decided to sit this one out and give their players a bit of a vacation.

While the fresh OGA Dota Pit Season 3 champions won’t fight for another tournament trophy, Elephant.4AM will be looking to put all the roster formation drama to rest and show the world what they are capable of. This will mark not only their debut but the tournament might also deliver the first matchup of Lu “Maybe” Yao and Xu “fy” Linsen against their former team, PSG.LGD.

However, Elephant.4AM and PSG.LGD will be starting seeded in different groups, the only chance for them to clash being the playoffs stage.

Six teams received direct invites to the event and two more will join them in the group play via qualifier rounds.

CDA-FDC Professional Championship participating teams:

Group A:

  • Elephant.4AM
  • Royal Never Give Up
  • TBD (qualifiers)

Group B:

  • Invictus Gaming
  • Team Aster
  • TBD (qualifiers)

The group stage will be played from 22nd to 25th of October in a single round-robin format, best-of-three series. The top team from each group will advance straight into the upper bracket semifinals, the third and placed teams from each group will start in the first round of the upper bracket playoffs, while the bottom team from each group will be eliminated. The playoffs stage is set to start on the 26th of October and will end on the 1st of November with a best-of-five grand final.
