The Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2019/2020 season is just around the corner and announced just a short time ago was the second Major of the season – DreamLeague Season 13, The Leipzig Major.
It has been over two years since the DPC has entered Germany for an event, with ESL One Hamburg 2017 being the last time teams entered the region to fight for DPC points. Since then, Hamburg has played host to the ESL One event in 2018 and the 2019 iteration begins in just a few days, but neither have been DPC tournaments. However, while DreamLeague Season 12 is entering its final day, the announcement of the return to Germany for a Dota 2 Major came as The Leipzig Major will grace us in January 2020.
The biggest part of the confirmation of the second Major of the season is the possible return of teams such as OG, Team Secret, the ex-Team Liquid and PSG.LGD, all of whom decided to take a break from the first Minor/Major rotation of the season. However, we will still have to wait until early December for the regional qualifiers to see which teams join and who makes it to the second Major.
From January 24th-26th 2020, the second Major of the DPC season will take place at the Leipziger Messe in Germany. Tickets for the final three days of the Major will go on sale from October 22nd 2019 with two separate packages available; one for a single day ticket and another for a three-day pass. For more information on tickets and the event you can head to the official DreamHack Major page here.
After there have been some issues with Southeast Asian and Chinese teams getting their Visas for the upcoming ESL One Hamburg 2019, we can only hope that they have enough time to get them set for the first Major of 2020 and the second of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit season in Germany.
