The former OG mid laner, Anathan ‘Ana’ Pham makes a competitive comeback after a six months hiatus.

Ana holds two Major titles (Boston and Kiev) with OG, but despite his great break out from 2016 and his team dominance through the 2016 -2017 year, he finished just top eight at The International 2017, event at which OG aimed way higher. In the post TI7 aftermath, Ana decided to take a break and hasn’t been actively playing ever since. Yesterday, he announced his return with Team World, a newly formed squad featuring players from all over the world. Interestingly enough, Ana chose with this comeback to make a role swap as well, switching from mid lane to carry.

Team World’s mid laner is  Greg ‘Keyser’ Kallianiotis, former HellRaisers /Team Dog member. Keyser joining Team World means that his previous team lost yet another player after Neta ’33’ Shapira departed last month to join OpTic Gaming. Team Dog are qualified for the upcoming ESL One Genting Minor but right now they sit on just three players left to sort out a temporary roster for the said Minor.

Along with Ana and Keyser, the recently departed from Immortals, Sang-Don ‘FoREv’ Lee will join Team World who will benefit from the strategic mind of Avery ‘SVG’ Silverman, former Evil Geniuses coach and support player. SVG will take the captain role at Team World and will be joined in the supporting lines by the TI6 runner-up Martin ‘Saksa’ Sazdov. Saksa reached the TI6 grand finals with Digital Chaos and since then he’s been briefly playing for Planet Odd. At the end of 2017, he temporarily joined OpTic Gaming and helped them qualify for Galaxy Battles. In his short stint with OpTic, Saksa also participated at the Dota Summit 8 Minor but finished only 7th-8th and went to ROG MASTERS 2017 where the team placed second.

Team World will compete from the European region and will have their first chance at fighting for a Pro Circuit event spot starting this coming week when the European qualifiers for both SL i-League Invitational Season 4 Minor and PGL Bucharest Major will commence.

Team World roster:

– Anathan ‘ana’ Pham
– Greg ‘Keyser’ Kallianiotis
– Sang-Don ‘FoREv’ Lee
– Avery ‘SVG’ Silverman
– Martin ‘Saksa’ Sazdov
