Chaos Esports Club announced their final line-up for The International 2019 and officially released from the team both Nico “Gunnar” Lopez and William “hFn” Medeiros.

With the addition of Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen it became clear that the Brazilian carry player hFn would have to search for a new team, however, Chaos E.C haven’t made an official statement until this week when they introduced their final composition for the European regional qualifiers for TI9.

“As part of the changes to the roster, we’ve released both hFn and Gunnar. They are already practicing with new teams. We wish them the best of luck in their road to The International and hope to see them competing on Dota’s largest stage,” said Chaos E.C in their official announcement

Matumbaman will be joined at Chaos E.C by a talented Malaysian player who most recently caught the fans attention with the Southeast Asian stack of Chan “WinteR” Litt Binn, Power of MYSG+AU. The squad put together by WinteR for the final set of Major and Minor regional qualifiers was extremely close to deliver a huge upset in the EPICENTER SEA qualifiers after defeating Fnatic in the group stage matches while also forcing them to a decisive game five in the qualifiers grand finals. Fnatic claimed the ticket at the end of the battle, but they were also the first to be eliminated from the tournament in Moscow.

Power of MYSG+AU have also made into the grand finals of SL ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor SEA qualifiers, but lost to Mienski. Unfortunately for them, their promising team will not be the same in the TI9 qualifiers as Cheng “vtFαded” Jia Hao has now been signed by Chaos Esports Club.

wtFaded has played in the mid lane with Power of MYSG+AU, but previously to joining them, he also played in the carry position with the Chinese team For The Dream (FTD). Western fans might have seen him performing as carry during the ESL One Birmingham 2019, when FTD replaced EHOME in the tournament.

According to the announcement made by Chaos E.C, vtFaded will resume to carry role, while Matumbaman will continue to play in the mid lane.

Chaos Esports Club roster from position 1 to 5:

  • Cheng “vtFαded” Jia Hao
  • Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen
  • Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann
  • Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara
  • Rasmus “MISERY” Filipsen
