With the next set of Minor and Major qualifiers a little over a week away, teams are starting to change up their rosters as Chaos Esports Club find an offlaner in Dmitry ‘DM’ Dorokhin.
A second-place finish at the recent DOTA Summit 11 Minor was all Chaos Esports Club could muster with the dominance of Invictus Gaming leaving them unable to reach the MDL Chengdu Major. Following that, the team would announce that Jonáš ‘SabeRLight’ Volek’s trial period would be ended and the player would return to Team Singularity – leaving Chaos without an offlaner. Just a few days later, the squad would also lose their coach, Ilya ‘Illidan’ Pivcaev, as he would be seeking possible playing opportunities over coaching. But with the upcoming qualifiers for the next Minor and Major, Chaos has now confirmed an addition to their active roster: ex-Hellraisers player DM.
While Hellraisers had a promising roster going into the recent Minor, it seemed to fall apart after their elimination with the likes of DM departing as well as Alik ‘V-Tune’ Vorobey leaving to join Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin’s latest venture back into Dota 2. DM’s departure was confirmed on November 21st and now, just four days later, it was confirmed via the Dota 2 Minor and Major registration page that he would be the final piece in the Chaos puzzle.
The full Chaos Esports Club roster is:
- Yawar ‘YawaR’ Hassan
- Quinn ‘CCnC’ Callahan
- Dimitry ‘DM’ Dorokhin
- Arif ‘MSS’ Anwar
- Avery ‘SVG’ Silverman
After losing two players, Hellraisers too were able to rebuild their roster with lesser known players from the CIS region in the form of Nikita ‘Elmo’ Lomanov, Pavel ‘bowbowbow’ Mostakov and Oleg ‘sayuw’ Kalenbet. For HR, we will get to see them in action later this week as the LAN final of the Parimatch League get underway, but for Chaos, it is likely that the qualifiers will be our first introduction into their new roster.
