The final game of the day at the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor would be an elimination series between Team Sirius and Team Anvorgesa – the winner moving on into the lower bracket finals tomorrow.
It was already unlikely that the South Americans would have ever got this far at the Minor, but they shocked everyone when they beat EHOME and claimed a place in the top 4 the event. But they failed to really have much of a showing when faced with Ninjas in Pyjamas earlier in the day and even though Sirius also dropped down, it would be a tall-task for Anvorgesa to move forward to the top 3.
The opening game of the series made it very clear that Sirius were going to put their best foot forward as they ripped through the South American squad with Li ‘ASD’ Zhiwen’s Shadowfiend going on an unstoppable 12-0-13 for the game. Another win would send the Chinese squad into a rematch against NiP and give them a glimmer of hope of making it to the Major. While Anvorgesa threw everything that they could at the Sirius squad, they were unable make a dent in their attack.
It did not take much more than half an hour for everything to be wrapped up and we would be waving goodbye to the South Americans at the Minor. Team Sirius move forward to face NiP tomorrow in the lower bracket finals – the winner of which joins Alliance at EPICENTER and gets to face them in the grand final of the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor.
