WePlay! Pushka League entered its second day today with the likes of Team Liquid, Alliance, Team Secret and B8 all kicking off their tournaments – and it was a fairly unsurprising day for all involved.

Opening the day would see Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin’s B8 squad going up against Team Spirit in the day’s only CIS series. Spirit had seen some promising results in the group stages of ESL One Los Angeles Online but once they made it into the playoffs, they seemed to struggle and were swiftly eliminated. B8, on the other hand, have not seen any promising results since their formation earlier this year and this event would be another chance for them to get off the mark.

Although neither game of the series was an outright stomping, Spirit were by far the better team, as they managed to outdraft and outplay B8 at every turn. B8 would have another chance to kickstart their WePlay! Pushka League event tomorrow when they face Natus Vincere, who also have not looked great in recent times.

Next, we would have Ninjas in Pyjamas playing in their second series of the event, with Team Liquid as their opponents today. Yesterday we saw the new NiP squad, ex-Chicken Fighters, taking down OG.Seed in a great three-game series to end day one of the event and they were looking to continue dominating today. Liquid certainly had a long way to go, not having much better than fourth place finishes in recent tournaments.

Unfortunately for Liquid, today would not be their chance to take a victory. While neither game of the series was completely one-sided – and we saw an amazing Witch Doctor from Aydin ‘iNSaNiA’ Sarkohi, Liquid just could not find a way to overcome NiP. Continuing in their brilliant form which begun to show at ESL One LA Online, NiP were now unbeaten in two series and would get a brief respite before their next series on Tuesday.

For the final series of the day we would have a massive battle between Alliance and Team Secret, as both teams would be hoping to get their WePlay! Pushka League off to a great start. Both teams were recently eliminated from ESL One LA Online by the same team, Vikin.gg, but that wouldn’t matter now as the Clement ‘Puppey’ Ivanov and Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson met on the battlefield again.

Alliance went into the series being heavily the underdogs and it showed right from the start as Secret were never going to allow them to get any grounding at all. While they put up a great fight in both games, it was not enough to take down the mighty Secret.

With a spate of 2-0 victories for the day, WePlay! Pushka League comes to a close for day two. Tomorrow we will have more three more series from the likes of Na’Vi, B8, FlyToMoon and many more.
