Today at WePlay! Pushka League we saw more Dota 2 action from the European and CIS squads involved – with Nigma, OG, Natus.Vincere and Alliance all among the teams in the mix today.

Opening the day would be Nigma and Ninjas in Pyjamas, the former coming off a victory yesterday – while the latter were quickly getting used to being under their new organisation’s banner. Having been eliminated from the recent ESL One Los Angeles Online event by Chicken Fighters, the same squad that were now under the NiP banner, Nigma would be looking for some sort of revenge. But that was not the case and after a 25-minute stomp in the first game, NiP went on to take a fantastic 2-0 victory over a very shaky Nigma.

Following this would see a magnificent battle between Na’Vi and Team Spirit. Spirit seemed far off from the squad that showed some amazing Dota 2 prowess just a short time ago at ESL One LA Online, as they were destroyed by Virtus.pro Prodigy just yesterday – but they would be hoping to get things back on track. After winning the first game of the series, things looked set but Na’Vi had other plans as they managed to fight back and claim an emphatic victory to go top of the CIS rankings for the time being.

Closing out the day would be an epic brawl as OG would be playing their first series in the WePlay! Pushka League against Alliance, who had already seen one win and one loss so far. The entire series was a brutal back-and-forth between these two amazing teams, with OG seemingly having the first game in the bag, before Alliance completely turned things around with a Slark from Nikolay ‘Nikobaby’ Nikolov helping them on their way. But then we saw a Slark from Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan which controlled the game for OG, and even when Alliance seemed to be making a comeback, Sumail was there to shut the door and tie the series.

The final game of the series was exactly what we had come to expect from the two teams involved as they threw everything that they had at one another. Much like the games prior, things were never settled until it was finally over – and it was Alliance who managed to push through and claim the 2-1 victory.

While that ends the day at WePlay! Pushka League, tomorrow we will return for more action including Virtus.pro versus HellRaisers and a monumental clash between OG and Team Secret to close out the day.
