Immortals parted ways with their offlaner Lee “Forev” Sang-don on the 30th of December 2017.
For many, the news came as shocking considering how much talk surrounded the former MVP members last year about a possible reuniting project. After playing for nearly one year in four different squads and failing to reach a decent placement at The International 2017, the “Korean Overlords” were signed by Immortals, a North American organization well known for their League of Legends and CS:GO teams.
Immortals made their entrance into the Dota 2 scene on the 13th of September, and all five former MVP players got relocated to US. Unfortunately, they didn’t really reach their former glory since they‘ve been reunited. Once the Dota Pro Circuit started, Immortals struggled in most of the Minors and Majors qualifiers, PGL Open Bucharest Minor being the only event for which they secured a spot. They placed top four there and acquired their first DPC points, but that is all they’ve got so far.
Neither Immortals, nor Forev issued any official statements regarding the decision of splitting ways. The news broke bluntly on twitter when Forev said “It was nice to work with Team Immortals. I wish them luck in the future.”

Today, Immortals confirmed Forev’s departure and without too many words welcomed Arif “MSS” Anwar amongst their ranks.
Additionally, Immortals and @ForevDoto have mutually decided to part ways. We wish Forev the best. pic.twitter.com/kM2UUrJppc

MSS has been part of the competitive scene for quite some time now. He made his debut with Fnatic back in 2013 and since then he played for a couple of teams, including Evil Geniuses, Mousesports, Cloud9, Team NP, and Digital Chaos. January 5, 2018, marks a new chapter in his career and we wish him best of luck with Immortals. He will play his first official match with the new team on the 9th of January in the NA qualifiers for SL i-League Invitational Season 4 and on the very next day, they will start competing in the NA qualifiers for the PGL Bucharest Major.
