The Qualifiers for The Bucharest Minor are well underway, with each region fighting for a number of spots at the event. The first team of 8 to qualify for the second Minor of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit season comes out of Southeast Asia, beating out some of the biggest names from the region to reach their first DPC event ever.
BOOM ID are a fairly underrated and almost unknown Indonesia Dota 2 squad that formed nearly 2 years ago. While the team has had some changes in the last few months, it has proven to be the right choice for them. After failing to qualify for The Chongqing Major, being eliminated by Mineski, BOOM came into the Minor Qualifiers on a direct invite and took down their first opponent, WG.Unity, to give them a chance at revenge on Mineski. The team were definitely up to the challenge yesterday when they 2-0’d the SEA giants and pressed forward into the grand finals – where Clutch Gamers were their final hurdle.

BOOM ID did not back down from this either, playing some fantastic Dota 2 and with that claimed their spot at the Bucharest Minor, their first DPC event, as they represent the Southeast Asia region.
All other regions qualifiers as still underway, with Europe ending later today and China finding one half of its qualifying teams in the next few hours too. The Minor runs from January 9th-13th 2019 and features 8 teams from around the world, battling for a prize pool of $300,000, 500 DPC points and most importantly, the first-place finish which also comes with the final spot in the Chongqing Major.
