Team Liquid are setting their sights on former player Eric “adreN” Hoag to return as their head coach, according to multiple sources close to the player and team. It is expected that Wilton “zews” Prado will accompany Epitácio “TACO” de Melo in returning to their former team Made in Brazil, leaving a vacancy at the coach position. Jacky “Stewie2k” Yip is expected to fill the vacancy left by TACO in the lineup.

This series of moves comes after TACO and zews informed Team Liquid and their players that they intended to leave the team following their performance at the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals in Denmark last week. One source explained, “This decision was 100% the choice of TACO and zews, the team had absolutely no plans to change before the IEM Katowice Major.” It was only after being informed that they discussed obtaining Stewie2k in exchange.

adreN spent a year and a half with the Liquid organization, spending a majority of his time as in-game leader. Only two members remain on Team Liquid from that period, Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella and Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski. Their best accomplishment as a group came at MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016 where they finished in the semi-final. Since his time with Team Liquid he has played with Team Mythic in ESEA Premier and recently helped them attempt to qualify for the IEM Katowice North Americas Minor.
