** This is a rumor and nothing is official until made so by the organization and player. It is also possible this is a stand-in or trial opportunity.

According to rumors surrounding FaZe Clan, they may be getting one of Counter-Strike’s biggest legends. It has been claimed based on several screenshots of Filip “NEO” Kubski playing alongside the FaZe Clan boys.

He is seen in the server alongside four other players with Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev being the odd man out. NEO had been a member of the Virtus.pro golden five roster for almost all of his time in CS:GO. The Polish squad began to crack and eventually crumbled when he and Jarosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski followed in the footsteps of Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas in parting ways with the organization.

FaZe has struggled to be the force they were believed to become following their inception and tried the age-old trick of removing Finn “karrigan” Andersen but things haven’t exactly improved. The team still plays inconsistent Counter-Strike and can win a trophy one week and lose to tier 2 teams in the group stage the next.

Twitter user DonHaci also stated he had a “credible source close to the team” who had informed him this move was in the works.

This was followed up by DeKay who stated he had also been looking into the matter.

NEO is experienced in the in-game leader position and certainly has a plethora of experience to draw off of within that capacity. This would also free up star player Nikola “NiKo” Kovač to focus more on his individual game.

While it’s still a rumor, if it comes to fruition I stand by the idea that there are far worse choices out there. I think NEO may be able to begin a new legacy with FaZe Clan’s pieces.
