The anticipated niko-mertz swap is official. North and Heroic have met an agreement to see the players transfer teams. The organizations made it official today with a post to the North website and a video on Heroics end.

Director of Esports at North, Jonas “whimp” Svendsen believes they’ve found a great fit for their roster. “Nikolaj is a player with a high skill ceiling, and despite his young age, he has already played on some of the biggest stages in the World. After conferring with Alexander, and valde who has played with niko for several months, I believe that Nikolaj could help the team in the coming two months,” Svendsen said in the official post.

The newest member of North shared his thoughts and excitement as well. “I’m happy to get to test myself in new surroundings and I simultaneously hope and wish the best for Heroic. In many ways, this is a special transfer and I have only good things left to say about Heroic and RFRSH. On the other hand is a good thing for me to enter a new group. North is one of the best teams in Denmark and a team with great ambitions. In that sense, it’s not far from what I’m coming from but I’m excited about this new challenge.” said the Danish player.
