The winds of change have blown for NRG’s Counter-Strike division. The organization has revealed that Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz will join the squad and take over the role of in-game leader. This move will see Damian “daps” Steele to the bench.
stanislaw will be making his debut with the team in the Americas Minor closed qualifier tomorrow. He was most recently competing under the compLexity banner and was a member during coL’s miracle run to a top-eight finish at the FACEIT Major in London this past January. He was with compLexity for a total of 14 months.
daps has been with the team since early 2017, helping NRG rise to be a North American contender and also make some waves in the international scene. Under his leadership, NRG won IEM Shanghai 2018 and cs_summit 3.
NRG has had a rough showing as of late but will be looking to turn things around with stanislaw and they will have plenty of opportunities to test these changes on LAN in the coming weeks. The North American mix have ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, ESL One Cologne, and BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles on their calendar in the near future.
