Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså has officially left the building according to North. The organization has confirmed that the 24-year-old has moved to an “unnamed team.”

valde had been a member of North since August 2017 but unfortunately the team never really lived up to the hype and expectations many had for them. During his time with the team, they did pick up several titles including three DreamHack Open events, DreamHack Masters Stockholm, and the GG.Bet ICE Challenge. valde had been on the bench since October.

valde had the following to say as part of the official announcement from North:

Hey guys. As you all might already know, the time has come for me to try something new and go down a different path in my career. I could feel within myself that it is the right decision, and it is always with mixed feelings leaving something behind that has been a huge part of your life for more than two years now. I got to play 35 tournaments and lift four trophies during my time in North, and all of them played a role in creating some of the most memorable moments I have in my life.”

The Dane also took to Twitter to share a TwitLonger with more words which you can find below.

While nothing is official as of now, it is highly expected that the player will be joining the new lineup rumored to be coming out of OG Esports. The back-to-back Dota 2 The International champions are looking to jump into CS:GO with an experienced and capable roster led by Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen and featuring Issa “ISSAA” Murad.

It was recently reported that Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski will be rounding out the new OG lineup instead of the originally expected Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen.

It is expected the roster will be revealed soon as some of the final pieces come together.
